| Superior maintains an extensive library of information
on most manufacturers’ mechanical seals. We are able to
extend MAINTAIN-A-SEAL to most seal applications and manufacturers’ seals.
In our MAINTAIN-A-SEAL program, all seals are cleaned, inspected,
and reconditioning requirements are listed for your consideration.
We always replace the soft face (carbon), grind and lap the hard
face(s) to within 2 light bands, replace wear parts, such as
set screws, elastomer, springs, and clips. The seal is then assembled,
inspected, and tested for quality.
If, however, upgrading your seal would be the best solution
for attaining additional life, we can evaluate the application
and provide enhancements to the old seal, or design a new Superior seal, particular to your needs. Our end result is always to
provide our customer with a superior seal that meets or exceeds
your requirement, and with a superior service experience.
Superior offers such services as: reviewing digital photographs
of a used seal, to answer any questions for you, prior to your
shipping the seal to our facility. The photograph may be sent
by e-mail to: info@superiorseals.com. Superior will also pay
the normal return shipping charges (within the contiguous United
States) on a seal that we recondition.
